A nice nsv
Gotta admit it - I am a **** for people complementing me on my weight loss. Can't hear enough of it. Yesterday I heard an especially nice one from one of my partners in our cooperative art gallery. I had made no secret of the wls and thought everyone there knew what I had done but this one woman apparantly didn't know I had surgery; only noticed that I had lost the weight. She is a cancer surviver herself so was sensitive to the idea that weight loss might not have been intended. But yesterday she said to me that she hoped I wasn't sick or anything because I sure had lost a lot of weight but that I had this wonderful new aura and energy about me. It was a nice complement to hear that I was exuding a positive energy. Yeah, a very north coast hippie type of complement but it felt good because it was so genuine. Anyway I told her it was due to surgery and planned and a great health improvement. Its so nice to hear such things out of the blue especially since i have been at my goal for a few months and pretty much everybody I know is aware of what I did and I have already been paid all the complements one could expect. So if you look up the coast of northern california and see this glow, its not the northern lights, its my aura .........Diane
awsome compliment... I dont know anyone here lol but my husband seems to do all my talking for me LOL he works for the VA as a police officer.
I got a chance to speak to someone today (that works at the VA here ) that was condidering wls and was deciding lapband or sleeve, so i told her there is no way id advise someone to get a band way to many people that have had complications then revisions.. so i gave her my phone number and email and said ask any questions she wants and also told her if she wants to meet me and see me in person so she can see how big i am the that be fine too.
It felt good to be in a state where they push band and me getting the chance to push the sleeve haha

Here is a interesting twist on what you have posted.......
I'm a single guy (by choice right now) living and working in San Francisco......And I'm in the "Arts".......
See !!!!!! You have already made an assumption !!!!!
Although I don't "Roll" that way........ I work with, and have many gay friends..... I don't judge..... What ever floats your boat !!!!
A gay friend of mine made the comment that since I have lost so much weight..... people may "wonder" if I'm sick (HIV-Aids)
Although no one has ever asked or thought out loud with me about that..... I can understand ........
