Drinking too fast?

In the beginning we were to force ourselves to drink slow and I did. But now at 7 months out, I've noticed that I'm downing my 16 oz protein drink in about 20 minutes (on my ride to work). I don't get hungry so I'm not worried about keeping it in my sleeve for fullness but is this too fast as far as stretching my stomach or is it just running through my sleeve and then is that ok?

I think it varies from person to person, but even now at 2-1/2 years out, I still can't drink more than a few ounces at a time.  Yet I've read on the boards of people who have no issue drinking, and reach their goal.   Maybe your taller than others, so your stomach is longer.  I wouldn't worry about it, as long as you are still losing weight.

I drink mine in less time than that.  I don't think it's an issue.

I can chug thin liquids on an empty stomach. I don't think it's a problem.

what you are doing sounds fine for 7 months out.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Thanks guys. I don't want to do anything that might hurt my awesome sleeve.

I drink much faster than that. I drink the 16 Oz. in about 5 minutes. I actually experimented on how fast I could drink. The fastest was 3 minutes. But that does become painful. 5 minutes is very comfortable for me. I only do this with water.

I noticed if I do it with a milk based protein shake I get gasey.

I can drink that much and more very quickly, as long as it's on an empty stomach :)

Yes, it's on an empty stomach. In fact yesterday wasn't a good food day so I ended up having another protein shake later in the day and it wasn't near as easy to go down.

I am almost at 2 years, so i didn't think there was any isue once you're all healed.
