Below goal and now I'm scared...
I lost past goal also. I was down to a BMI of about 20.1 within 15 months after surgery so decided I needed to gain back some weight. I was very careful to do it in a healthy way, by adding more healthy carbs and not using any non-fat or reduced calorie products. I also reduced my protein intake just slightly (from 65g to 50g per day).
Let me tell you, now that it's been a little over 3 1/2 yrs, I see that I didn't need to worry about losing too much weight. I've since gained back about 10 lbs over my lowest weight. Initially I only gained back 3 lbs, and I was VERY happy with that weight. Then it crept up 3 lbs. I kept that weight for about 2 yrs. Then in crept up another 3 lbs about a year ago. And another 2 lbs over the 2010 Christmas holiday.
My point is, your weight is likely to creep up a little bit over time. There is no magic number that you'll stay at for the rest of your life. My personal recomendation would be to talk to your NUT and see what they recommend. You are smart to not eat crap to stop losing. I think I'd consider losing a little more (since it's coming off easily) and later on, up your healthy carb intake (ie. whole grains, fruits, nuts, veggies). It is extremely likely that, over time, you will gain back a few lbs whether you want to or not.
Blessings,
Rana

Jesus doesn't want me for a zombie, and He's given me free will so I can choose. I've escaped this world's snare but I don't have to be square. Oh yes, I have become a Christian but I still know how to groove!

First... congrats on your success !!!
I had an initial goal weight suggested by my surgeon at 180 from 338
Well, as soon as he said that.... I said I was thinking 175.....he said fine!
The big day came 11 months and one week........175 !!!!
Than I asked him.... I'm thinking 170...... he said Go for it!
I got to 170 and again...... asked him about revising to 165....... he said You can go to 160 if you want.
Than at 14 months I had my "one year" appointment with him (had to get labs done) I weighed in at 157 and he said "Perfect, hold that weight for a year" your at 100% excess weight loss....
Well, without changing much from my weight loss mode.....my weight loss has pretty much come to a halt..... I haven't been able to get below 155
I "think" I have come to the point where people have talked about as being your bodies natural stopping point. The holidays haven't really helped much, but I'm thrilled at 155 and plan to have that as my weight...... I'm just now trying to get below that a few pounds for a cushion.
So getting back to your situation.....In my case as you can see my "goal weight" has been revised multiple times till I finally settled in on a weight.

I hit a year yesterday, and I am lower than my goal too. I seem to keeping dropping like a stone! This being said, yes it freaks me out a little but then two days later (eating the same) I may go up 2 pounds and then back down 1 - 2 days later. I still agree with my Dr he said from the get go...Your body will stop where it should be at. My body has gone as low as 117 but then goes back to 120. As long as I can stay between these weights I am fine. I agree eat nuts...I do this often.
