MULTI vites??
What type of multi are you taking now? Is it a capsule/pill ? i had a TON of chewables.....just now on my last bottle, what would you recommend I take now? I'm thinking Costco vites? How have your 1 year or later, labs been? mine were great W the chewable vites....just want to do pills for now (if it is just as effective) Any advice/experiences would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Thanks!
ya know, i just finished a huge bottle of cost**** children's chewable vitamins, using them twice a day. they were the least ickky tasting of any i found. bought a bottle of centrum chewables but really dont like them as well and think i will go back to the costco ones soon. I am over a year out and still use chewables since i take big giant calcium pills and big giant fish oil pills so i like having one chewable thing. i don't think i am ever going to take regular pill vitamins again. they used to upset my tummy even before surgery. plus, i remember many years ago when vitamin pills were not all that large but now they are all huge and i just don't want another giant pill. but whichever you get, i vote for costco - seems their products are always good and reasonably priced. but i haven't done my one year labs yet so hope i am getting the right stuff. I was taking the Costco equivalent of Centrum Silver 2x a day, but my iron was a little low and there isn't any in that vite, so I switched to a Nature Made one (also at Costco) and take one of those and most days also one of the Centrum equivalents. I have 3 years of labs now, and all have been okay, though on the low end of normal. Low in B1 year one, low in iron year two, all within normal range this year. I also use the Costco liquid calcium citrate because the calcium pills are the WORST for me. And I take additional D3 and a B complex, per my doc's reco, both also from Costco...

No, I've used two. One is by Wellesse and if you go to Costco's site, they carry that online, though I've found it cheaper at other sites--I buy it online. It has an orange flavor, a little chalky, but not bad. My local Costco doesn't have the Wellesse in the store, but they've started carrying one that I like a little better (nicer texture). It's called liquid Reviva, and it tastes like a blueberry yogurt smoothie. Both have 1000 mg. of calcium citrate in 1T--supposedly it absorbed better in liquid form and for me, it's a lot less nasty than the giant horse pills!

I take the costco chewable adult gummie ones twice a day so far my labs have been ok, when i asked about them at my surgeons office i was told that it was up to me if i went to pills or stayed with the gummies, the NP told me that the gummies were more eaily absorbed so i have stuck with them since my surgery... i had high calcium, hi vitamin D, high folate, and high iron lvls so while they are good i see no point in changing.

I was taking centrum chewables and at 9 months my iron is on the low end of normal (I stopped taking my iron pills a long time ago - wanted to wait on labs). All my other labs are great, except my B12 was super high so my Dr. recommended that I take it every other day now rather than every day.
eta: I take more than a multi though. I also take D3, B12, and Calcium Mag & D
