Note: Before you think I can cook..... The following is all put together with store bought foods!

Thin Lizzy's Costco Wonton Soup Remix !!!

5 shrimp Wontons and soup= 100 cal.

"Fried Wonton over Red Bell Pepper & Crab Sauce"

- The Costco Wonton soup directions say to micro it 3-3.5 minutes. Micro for 1.5 minutes. You don't want to over cook the shrimp. Would be best if shrimp is still cold.

- Remove Wonton from soup.... Place on paper towel to dry them off a bit.

- In hot skillet add oil and minced garlic (I use Smart Balance Oil) I also added a little chili oil. No salt no pepper....the wonton is already salted and flavored from the soup base.

- Place Wontons in hot oil and sautee for a couple minutes on each side... Till you get some color.....Your done.

The sauce I used is actually a refrigerated "Red Bell pepper and Crab Soup" from Safeway. The veggies are frozen. Would awesome with a pesto sauce also.

After platting I drizzled a little more Chinese Chili oil.

Each Wonton was topped with a "Mini Peperoni slice"

I thought it turned out pretty good!!!

Note: I only ate two Wonton and the veggies....That was dinner! I got a snack for later!

Enjoy.....frisco

I will x-post on the maintenance board also.

Note: That's a salad/dessert plate.

Dude I'm ALL about the "fusion"  cuisine.........but , Chinese and Italian?   I don't know......?  I had The T.L.W.T.  soup today for breakfast! (dim sum is eaten in the AM in China!  so I feel it is OK)  I add some IQF shrimp to double the protein 18gr and only 40 cals more.  I pour off a lot of the broth to reduce sodium too!   Mmmm....warm shrimpy goodness on a cold morning!  That dish does look good!  A new career.....food stylist perhaps?

I looked at the shrimp wonton soup, when I was at Costco today, but the sodium content was over 1,000mg. Way too much for me. I was disappointed, because it looks and sounds so good.

Well....it is soup.....salty broth...

I just pour some soup base out and add water....to thin down the sodium....

Also that is why I tried this approach by not even using the soup base......

I want to try it over a bed of spinach, or with an egg or in a salad....like Chinese Chicken Salad but with the Wonton instead of the chicken.

$1.65 for 5 whole shrimp Wonton.....
