My no good, very bad eating day

Definitely, if you don't like pumpkin pie, you shouldn't eat it. I don't eat anything any more just because it's traditional or *supposed* to be good.

Which is why I didn't have stuffing tonight. I really don't like it.

In the past I would have had a spoonful anyway just to be "social" but it's really silly because no one cares if I eat it or not!

I'm saving my calories for things I truly love --- which in my case *is* pumpkin pie.

I did pretty well. I had some turkey and salad. Thank you Sleeve! That's all I had room for and nothing else even looked good. Later on I did have a tiny slice of that pecan pie. I gain weight so easily,
I will probably gain just from that one piece of pie.

I am definitely going to do the pouch test. I've been doing mainly protein shakes this week anyway.
It really annoyed me that the gym was not open at least this morning. I know the people that work there need time off for Thanksgiving, but they are usually open until at least noon on holidays.

Hi E
Well, don't beat yourself up for having a bad eating day. Sounds like it really wasn't all that terrible. I think once in a while our bodies demand a little extra for some reason. We forget that our bodies do not do a calorie/energy audit every night at midnight and do a debit or credit on our bodies. We are a much more ongoing fluid system and what we eat in one day may take several days to process.

I posted a few weeks ago about a slider evening I had at an opening at our art gallery where there were all sorts of hors d'oevres and they sure went down easily. over three hours i ate more than i can eat at a meal. Luckily it was not the worst stuff - stuffed mushrooms and cheese cubes - but it sure seemed like i could eat a lot. Was secretly worried that i had hit one year and my restriction suddenly dissapated.  But no , of course not and got back on the right road with accompanying normal restriction.

So I am glad you posted this so we all know that one of the super successful people like yourself has an occasional issue. We all do and we all will continue to have them and , I hope, share them here and learn from them.  D
