Meat Test-Data Point!

I had some leftover plain grilled beef so I decided to do this test for lunch. I hadn't eaten or drunk anything in several hours, so I think my stomach was pretty empty.

I could eat 3 1/2 oz. by weight of beef. It was about the same by volume, just under half a cup. I'm sure there have been times when I could eat 4 oz. or 3 oz. + a few extra bites of sides. But 3 1/2 oz of plain meat filled me up this time. There's one data point, anyway! I'm pleased with my restriction at almost 3 1/2 years out!

I did the same test about a week ago with a pork chop. I was able to get 3oz in. Will be interesting to see where I am when I'm at your point.

3+ years out! I love it!

I love it when people are farther out than me. It's really nice to read that people farther down the road are still loving their sleeve and maintaining.

I've been having some trouble getting off the few lbs I gained over my birthday and Halloween
but I've done protein shakes all day today with no hunger. I am going to stick to protein shakes for awhile and send those carb off to never never land and  hope I learned my lesson when Thanksgiving comes. It's too easy to fall off the wagon and let the bad foods creep in and then they
start to consume my mind.

I have never weighed how much meat I can eat, but I know the size of steak I can eat is 1/3 of what they bring me and it's supposed to be a 6 oz steak. It's a portion the size of my palm.

Do I chew it up and put it in a measuring cup?

I would just weigh it, eat what you can, then weigh what is left over to know how much you ate.

yeah, i have done this sort of informally by having chicken or beef for dinner and about 3 oz is pretty much the limit plus a bite or two of veggies. once in awhile i can do about 4 oz if its ground beef or sometimes chicken. but gotta be on empty and nuthin much else on the plate. D

I can eat 4 ounces of plain steak or chicken.

Definitely more if it's breaded or with sauce.
