Would you please consider doing the cottage cheese test?

I am still a freak I guess. I can only eat about a third of a cup. Sometimes a few bites more, but that is rare. I love cottage cheese, I eat it mostly with pineapple, but I eat it plain too. I can eat 1 and a half eggs, 2 ozs of steak, 2.5 oz of chicken or one third of a can or tuna mixed with some mayo,  2 slices of lunch meat with 1 piece of cheese. Not all at the same time mind you lol. Those are my general serving sizes for each thing.

You're not a freak, you're just early out. It does get so you can eat a fair amount more after a year or so. Someone mentioned even between year 2 and year 3 she can eat more.

You just happened to lose weight super fast and arrive early on the fabulous maintenance board!!!

I have always had a lot of restriction. What I eat now is like 2 and sometimes 3 times what I could eat at 2-3 months. It seems like a huge amount. But then I see you all can eat around 8 oz and it blows my mind! Sometimes I still can only eat a few bites. I wonder if i will be able to maintain at all. Sure seems like a lot of work now to eat so much. Still was down .6 lb this morning. I have always been really active, so maybe I will have to slow down a bit?

I found my old results of the test.

17 months out, Bougie 34   I ate 4 OZ  Felt satisfied and ready to quit, 5 OZ, alittle uncomfortable. (About the same amount as at 6 months)

2 yrs out.  Felt satisfied and full on 5 oz.  I didn't pu****  I can get in an extra ounce from 6 months ago!  I had a cold and am not getting the same fullness signals,  my hickup and burp have disappeared!

I am close to 3 years out, I will pick up some cottage cheese when I go shopping tomorrow. I don't think I can eat that much more, but maybe an oz or 2.   Like someone else, I am eating more foods than just protein and I can get in more of that.  I need to finish the book Brandi mentioned, interesting about the not feeling full on processed foods.    I have noticed I am pushing it abit as well,   I am eating later at night, just a bite or 2 too much and having some reflux issues.

Edited 11/28/10 give my results from today.   At almost 3 yrs out, I am at the same amount as 2 years, 5oz,  Same thing, felt satisfied and did not want to pu****

Cottiechee checkback, because I am a freak about keeping my word anymore, if its under my control.

only 1/3 of a cup, but then I double checked the instructions and my cottie and realized I picked up the large curd by habit, instead of the smalls, so I will have to have a redo!

Meat? 4 ounces is my max, with that food at the bottom of your throat feeling.  I am satisfied with 3 ounces of meat alone, could eat 3.5.

Can definitely eat the 3 and the 3.5 WITH lettuc without the same feelings of satiety.

Okay! Over an out!

Jen,
I will do the CC test today, but for now, I can tell you that I can eat two eggs and maybe a bite of fruit in the morning, or I can eat one toast and one egg and nothing else.  I would guess that I can eat one cup of cottage cheese, but I am not sure.  Will let you know in a few hours.

ok i have to wonder if it depends on the brand and the milk %??  or if breakfast is the wrong time to do it because i just did it for and i cant believe i only ate 1/4 cup or 2 oz that doesnt seem right to me.. im full ...  but that means i can eat more dense meat than my stomach holds so it doesnt make any sense to me
