VSG Maintenance Group
I have to say, I LOVE this board
I am so glad this boad was started. I dabble all around different forums at OH but this is the one where I feel like I really fit in. It's so nice to talk with others who are where I am at in this journey.
The VSG board is nice, and it's definitely necessary for all those who are so happy that "they got their date"
But we've been living with the sleeve for awhile now, and have other things to talk about besides "I can't stomach those protein shakes"
I am so happy this board was started so we have a place to talk about what it's like once the newness has worn off and we are living life, trying to maintain our weight loss now that we've learned to eat with a sleeve. I hope to make some great new friends here!

Meeee toooo!!!
I am pleased and a bit surprised that we are continually getting 'new comers'.... excellent... I hope we get more and more people who are maintaining, or about to go into maintanence...
It is great to be able to chat or ask questions specifically about maintaining...
Thanks guys!! Group Hug!

I agree we need somewhere to keep our head in the game to stay foccussed, but where people are at the same stage so they understand what we are going through ...this stage is forever, so im glad that we have this place.

Yeah, we sure got fun on this group! And look, we are up to 94 members in just a few weeks. Its so important to address the long term weight loss surgery issues and it just wasn't happening elsewhere. I still visit the regular vsg forum daily and offer whatever advice and encouragement I can and I do learn some things. But once those first few months and 50 lbs go by then a different reality sets in. We all know that in prior weight loss efforts that staying the course for a long time and keeping weight off was the real issue, not the initial couple of months of dieting. And thats true here too though we now have the nuclear weapon in our arsenal - good old sleeve. I honestly can't imagne life without it now. Bet I would be another 15 lbs above my peak and more contrained by my weight than ever. as it is, I am off today to take on the dreaded grocery store for the thanksgiving haul and then numerous other errands. In my former life, the grocery store would have been my limit.
So I hope everyone out there will feel free to chime in on absolutely anything and keep this group lively. We all have a unique story and something to offer. D

This board has kept me connected to OH. I reached the point that many long timers reach, where it just feels like it is time to move on. You can only answer the same questions so many times before you start getting a bit restless. This board was just what I needed now. Thank you Diane for coming up with this. It is a great idea and a fabulous resource for all of us.
