Are you taking a daily multiple with iron now?  Check and see how much iron?  I take Centrum chewables, it has 18mg iron.  I do 1X day, I take 2 if I am not eating well...    There is a lady, vitalady on the main board that makes vitamin suggestions.  Did your Doc make a recommendation? I remember you want to take iron with OJ for better absorption.   Do not take at the same time you take or consume Calcium supplements or food like milk/yoghurt.  Look at foods high in iron and take those.

Good Luck on finding a good product.

I take Vitalady's tender iron. I had a Ferretin level of 4.. the 3x daily Ferosol that my Dr prescribed did nothing. One tender iron a day for 2 months and my level is already up to 23...

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

I take Vitalady Tender Iron and my levels are good. She also has something called Proferrin, which is more expensive but is supposed to be the very best thing for getting your levels up. I think if they are very low, you take the Tender Iron (which has Vit C in it) at one time of day, and the Proferrin at another time.

Profferin is an excellent choice and is less constipating and can be taken with calcium.

I am/was iron deficient and started taking Hema-plex and my numbers are wonderful now.  It was suggested to me by my pcp and comes with very high ratings.

Thank you all!  No wonder I am so tired all the time and I need the couch as soon as I am off working..  I hope this helps restore some of my energy levels!

My Iron Level dropped. I started taking Bariatric Advantage iron supplements. did another lab and my iron level was still low. My doc told me to take with Vitamin C as it helps the absorbtion. That did the trick my iron level went up.

Also be careful that you are not taking anything that has calcium near the time you take your iron. as the two cancel each other out.
