I'm so friggin hungry all the time lately???

I am learning so much from "THIS" board!  Thank you so much for the introduction!!
I've been so hungry lately too!  I can eat more than before and am hungry within minutes of a meal!  I do take 1 prilosec each morning.  Have you heard if this is enough?  Maybe 2?
I'm hungry now, just talking about being hungry...LOL!
It gets crazier just before bedtime.  Last time I had 3 or 4 popsicles, a protein bar and a activia yogurt.  I had eaten 1/2 leftover sandwich and salad and a piece of wheat bread about 1 hour before bedtime.
Even though I'm eating more my weight flucuates nicely, up 2-4, down 2-4.  I never heard about our little tums empyting quickly......so that makes more sense that I feel more hungry.  Is this typical after a year?  That's when it seems to have been happening more.  I was thinking maybe my body was/is producing more gherlin?  So many questions, so little time.......

Vicky,
I am experiencing the exact same thing you are describing and yes it does seem to get worse in the evening, and my issues also started after a year.  I get hungry every few hours and could easily graze all day.  My weight has not changed and I am maintaining without any problems.  I was not hungry at all right after surgery and only occasionally during the first year.  My doctor wants me to only eat every three hours, I seem to be way to hungry to be able to do that.  I hope we both figure this out before we start to gain any weight.

Still have the not hungry feeling at all, but my tummy really has a a"voice" it rummbles all the time, I am back to taking my pills for heart burn to see if that helps. I was trying to stay at 121-123 but Sat weighed in at 120. I know my Dr says our body will stop....but when?? Maybe it will all change after the 1 yr mark???

I am not sure I buy the whole "my body will stop" thing.

Or maybe I do not trust my body ?  Maybe.  I purposedly stopped and actively started maintenance at a size I liked.

I am probably a control freak about it now though. :}  I will claim that.

For the rumbles, probiotics (chewable ones, not the once daily capsule) stopped that rumbling in a snap.

Hi there Brandi!  Do you have a name for the chewable probiotics?

It does eventually slow down.  My doctor set my goal at 110, but I kept losing until 101 lbs.  I am back up to 104 now.  I prefer 103-105 as a rage.  Just keep doing what you are doing, your body will stabilize.

It so good to see you Elina!  How's the soup going?  Do you still eat it?

Hi Vicky,
Thank you for the warm welcome.  I am eating turkey, beef, been and veggie chili a lot these days.  The taste is amazing and the cal count is great.  A lot of protein, low carb and mega vitamins.  Yum yum.

Vickz! I think I just read somebody saying they took 2 Prilosec a day I will have to search my brain for the who.

For me, I am more of a daytime eater, I guess because I was alone then more than evening, but I tend to be not a night snacker, its mostly locked up alone working. BOo!  I knew it was emptying out quicker than the normies before anybody on the board ever said anything.  When people were still ******g and moaning they would not eat for a year I would be thinking, well I am going to eat something SOON!!

My tum has emptied out quicker than a normies since before Thanksgiving last year, so that's about 6 months I guess when it started for me, but you know I do not eat much during the days but meat because meat PLUS anything just shoots through my belly faster than meat alone, and always has.

I wonder if instead of all the cold slidery things you are having before bed, what if you had some deep rich broth with some easy digesting veggies?  I wonder if that would be more satisfying?

I like a warm cup or two of unsweetened almond milk, with a little flavor and sweet heated up.  Or some broth with a splash of soy, or even to make some eggdrop soup (1 can of chicken broth, warm to boil, scramble up 1 egg in a bowl, pour in and stirstirstir until the egg is either thickening the soup, or separated, and then toss some green onions or cilantro in there is how I make mine).

Your prilosec, is it over the counter or prescription?  Maybe you need a different PPI formula?
