My Week of Diet Experimentation

Well, since I can't seem to decide what to eat, I've decided to do a little experimentation this week and see how my calories and hunger fare on 5 different diets.

Here's what I have planned:

Day 1- Liquids (protein drinks, smoothies, soup)
Day 2- High fat protein (eggs cooked in butter, chicken salad with mayo, pork bacon, etc)
Day 3- Healthy carbs (fruit, fiber crackers, greek yogurt, popcorn, etc)
Day 4- Veggies (veggies all day and 2 protein drinks)
Day 5- Lean Protein (chicken breast, turkey breast, hard boiled eggs, tuna in water, turkey bacon)

Today is day 1 so I've been doing liquids. I'm going to keep track of how much I wind up eating each day and how I feel, and I'll let everyone know! I'm not going to try to diet, I'll just eat when I'm hungry and see what happens.

 I'll be watching for your posts to see how it goes!  I've been trying to low carb it today and track my food as I've stopped doing that for a while.

This is a great idea.  I am very curious to see what will work best for you.  My guess would be that fatty protein will do the trick, but *****ally knows.  Keep us posted.

I tend to agree with Elina.  I bet the fatty protein may just do the trick!  I know when I add a big dollop of guacamole to my meat, I stay full a long time.  I love chicken or beef fajitas with sauteed onions, cheese, salsa and guacamole.  For some reason, that meal really stays with me.

Trying different things is good but do you think you'll know how it goes with only 1 day? I know I can do stuff for one day and think I'm fine but when I do it for 3-4 days I realized I've goofed (too hungry, eating too much junk, weight goes up, etc.)

Oh and I vote for fatty proteins too. It works for me.
