Y'all gave me the courage ...
... to smash up the cookies and pour them in the garbage!
It was a multi-step process, as first I bagged them up to throw away. Nope, I was back at them before you know it. Then I smashed them up with my fist. Nope, I ate crumbs. Finally, just now, I was able to pour the whole lot in the garbage, and while I *have* been known to eat things out of the garbage in years past, UUUUHHHH, there are bugs and vacuum cleaner filth down in there today, HA!
Why, you might ask, did I have cookies in the first place? We had a potluck after church today, and I thought cookies would be safe, as no one EVER leaves any cookies on a plate. Today I couldn't give them away for love nor money! Yes, I should have thrown them in the garbage at church, but I couldn't do it, sigh....
Thanks so much, everyone, for your support as I try to beat this new sugar / carb addiction that I re-developed in the hospital and nursing home. I am completely off the ice cream that the *doctor* made me promise to eat; lactose intolerance is a wonderful thing in its place! Sugar-free popsicles are my best friend.
And to answer what someone asked, my weight has not gone up much. Even though my ticker says 140, I stabilized in the 140s before the hospital, got down to about 122 while I was sick, regained up to the 140s, and now I'm staying at about 150, plus or minus a couple of pounds. 150 makes me VERY nervous. Anything under, as long as it is because of healthy moderate eating, is fine.
Thanks again for your support :-)

If I have to get it outta my house, I have to cover it in funk too, my girlie!! :}
In this book I read a lot it had quotes by different people who had been on diets forever n whatnot and one lady said..
When I throw things in the trash, I usually spray Raid on it. But you have to look out, because Raid does not taste that bad. *chuckle*
You got rid of the cookies right now, later they will not come home with you - one step at a time baby!!
We love you girlie! I am so proud on you! I know you are proud on you too!!
