10/28 was my one year post op gastric bypass.I was 441 preop and 184 right now. My weight has  'fluctuated" between 176 and 189 based on how out of control my snacking is. I would like to try and maintain at 180, but i tend to still pig out a bit often. I still tend to overeat to deal with stress. I know it's not good. I'm working on trying to control that.

I need to eat every couple of hours, by the clock, and that really helps me to eliminate snacking, when its planned meals.

I am glad you are here and you have done so great!!

Yep me too!

Tea
Breakfast
Snack
Lunch
Snack
Dinner
Snack
AND if I get up in the night Snack

I get hungry otherwise, and if I get too hungry I may choose something that is quick and not on plan... so I intentionally eat often.

All the best to you,

congrats on your fabulous success. and welcome to this maintenance forum. we all have those stress overeating issues so any hints out there to help with that would be appreciated. i have reduced a lot of stress in my life by changing my occupation to one i adore but its not an option for everyone because i earn way less$ and live on retirement savings in part. but i do find that having things to do with my hands keeps me from stress eating. also, if you give yourself a manicure and paint nails, it keeps you from sticking your hands into bags of chips. of course, i have no bags of chips but you get the idea.   and fiddling around on these forums keeps my hands on the keyboard and keeps me out of the kitchen. other ideas? D
