I am a single mom of three and live in a small town in Indiana.  I am having a hard time getting back into the dating scene, and thought that others might be having the same problem and that is why I started this group.

I work for the federal government, and have a good job.  Although the job is good, I am gone 12 hours a day because I work 8 hours and travel 2 hours before and after work.  Needless to say that I am limited on time that I have to spend with someone, but I do not work weekends and almost always have time then. 

I am not looking for a dad/father for my children.  I am very capable of supporting and taking care of them myself.  I am looking for someone who will accept them as they would me, because they are apart of me and will not be pushed aside. 

My favorite color is :  BLUE all shades of blue

I love to go to garage sales, auctions, flea markets and the Goodwill.  I am sure most can relate with our ever changing bodies. 

I am honest and blunt and respectful, and expect the same in return.

 I'm Stacy. I'm 27 and I work in higher education, which I really love. I can't say I love my particular job, but I definitely want to stay in higher ed. Hopefully I'll be movin' on up once I finally get my master's degree this summer!! I keep saying that 2010 is my year!

I don't have any kids, but I do have a 5 year old papillon named gizmo, he is like a child anyway. 

My main interests are traveling, hockey, Ireland, movies and music. I'm an incredible nerd and I love history, literature and art. In my spare time I hang out with my friends and family. I'll do anything from going to the ballet to playing in a sandbox. I think life is more about who you're with than where you are.

I'm Linda.  I'm 56 and took an early retirement from the Postal Service on Dec. 31, 2008.  I have been divorced for 18 years and have two sons -- one is 24 and in the Marines, stationed in Afghanistan at the moment.  The other one is 20 and a sophomore at West Virginia University.  You might have seen his National tv debut with 51.3 seconds left in the WV/KY Elite Eight game when the camera was on him leading the Pep Band cheering for the Mountaineers.  Too Cool!!

I haven't really dated since the divorce because my sons kept my busy with all their activities, but I now find myself going through empty nest syndrome.  I can be pretty set in my ways on some things, but flexible in others.  I filed for divorce because of an abusive alcoholic and didn't think I'd EVER get to the point of considering looking for another man.  Even though I'm still not actively looking, if my path crossed with one that seemed "right", I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.    But it would be nice to have a male companion to share a movie or dinner with -- and develop a friendship with -- first and foremost.

I work as a self employed Social Media consultant to supplement my Postal retirement and LOVE the job.  Except for client meetings and weekly reports, it's totally flexible and fits into my new lifestyle perfectly.  I can take care of any business that comes in through the night, go do my workouts every morning and jump back in where I left off before.  This is the LIFE!!

So it seems us women at taking the front seat introducing ourselves first lol.

I am Heather and I am 32 years old. I am single with no animals because I am allergic.  I am finishing my psychology degree next month but I work in banking. I have a great job and I do enjoy it very much. I have a hard time meeting men that are ok with this journey. Most men that like me now want me to stay curvy and not lose any weight.

Hi, I'm Dawn.  I got married at 19, divorced qt 28, and been single ever since, and I will be 47 this month.  I raised three children on my own. They are now 25, 21, and 19.  My daughter had a baby at the age of 14 and I've raised her daughter too, but my granddaughter will be going to live with her mother and step-dad soon.  She'll also have a new baby sister.

I haven't dated much at all, but after I start losing weight, I imagine I'll want to.  I'd also just like to make friends period, as I've tended to isolate myself alot over the years.  I'm sure you all understand where I'm coming from.  I look forward to getting to know you all!  C'mon guys, you too!!!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Tiffany, I am 45, divorced x 6 years with two sons ages 20 and 17.
I have been relatively content being single since my kids have kept me so busy these last years.  Now, they don't need me as much which is sad in a way, but good in other ways.

I work full time as an RN at a University Health Center.  I work for the state, and it is a great job I am very blessed to have found. 

Born and raised in Erie, PA....way up North and COLD!!!  Still here after all these years.

My surgery is scheduled for May 10th and I hope to get back into the dating scene after I have lost weight and feel more confident in myself and my appearance.  In the meantime, it will be great to meet new people and make friends.
