Forming a SW Ohio Activity Group "Biking, camping, kayaking and more!!!!
I am interested in planning a camping, biking, hiking, kayaking or canoe trips. I would actually like to form a WLS Monthly group activity.
I can reserve the Sugar Creek Campsite for us on Labor Day. Sugar Camp has private camping and if I get it we have it to ourselves. The The Little Miami Canoe Rental has camping on the river, a bike path and canoe and kayaks rental's.
At Sugar Creek all the tents placed on the tree perimeter made us look like a little village.
I belong to a group called WHOA (Women's Hiking and Outdoor Activities), From that group I have a lot of experiences and know a lot of activities that can take place.
We have ridden our bikes to special music events in Dayton, to restaurants (favorite is an 18 mile round trip from Carillon Park to Chumps in Miamisburg). I have 3 bikes if anyone needs to borrow one. One bike is a cruiser, one bike a road comfort bike and the third is new. I got it last year but didn't ride it because of my weight.
I even have 2 tents (large and medium) so another thing I can share. How did I end up with so much outdoor stuff? I inheritated from my kids who left it after leaving home.
I have a fabulous kitchen tent (open or screened). I invite others to use it. No need to buy a stove or cooking utensils, etc.
Something else that was a lot of fun is to take a retreat in January to a cabin. Buck Creek is exceptional. Or how about renting a house boat in Kentucky (wow is this fun) or even just renting a pontoon boat at Corwin.
Sugar Creek has horse rentals. Could you just see all of us on horses?
Anyway if anyone is interested let me know so I can reserve the camp ground right away. I am really excited about this. The activities are endless.
This is so cool and I can't tell you how excited I am by starting a group like this.
Please send me your input!!!!!!!!!!!!
