I am new to groups but not new to weight loss surgery.  I had gastric bypass surgery on January 31, 2005 and lost a total of 150 pounds from my highest weight.  I have gained back 30 pounds and am in the process of losing this.  I would love to correspond/meet WLS patients who live close to me.  BTW, I live in Laurel.  Hopefully, meeting others will help to jumpstart my weight loss.

Hi,

I just joined the group today.  I didn't know they had a Columbia, MD group.  I had lap-band surgery in Aug.  I'd love to talk with people who know what I'm going through.

Hello,

I find that the Columbia group is not active.  You are the first email response that I have gotten.  I would  love to talk to and to meet you since we have gone through a similar process.  Where do you live?  I live in PG County.  It is weird that our user name are similar and that we have the same first name.

Hi Lisa,

Great first name !  I was surprised to see no one communicated too much in this group.  There is a lot of activity on the MD forum.  They are very close and supportive of each other.

I would enjoy us contacting each other.  I have family to talk to, but they don't understand what I'm going through.  I have a friend who had RNY five years ago and we had a good conversation last week, but she is in NY and we don't talk often.  Having that conversation with her was wonderful.

I know we don't have the same surgery and we will have different issues, but I think we could be good support for one another.  I'm glad you responded to my email.

Nomatter where you are in your weightloss journey, you have to check out these amazing Reshaping Garments created by doctors that assist in reducing the body 2-3 sizes.  For men and women.

Check them out at www.ardysslife.com/enhancingbeauty  These garments help lift the breast and buttocks, thin hips, straighten back and help relieve back pain.   They also firm the abdomen, help protect the spine and relieve muscular fatigue.  As a gastric bypass patient, I found it very important to find a garment that would help reshape the fat as I lost it.  My body has great definition.

You can also hear me discuss these awesome garments at: http://beautyintransition.blogspot.com

Look forward to hearing from you!
