Topic: Jeff Beeson received Approval...
Just a quick announcement, Jeff Beeson got his Approval Letter for VSG through Dr Oh's Office, and is now awaiting a surgical date (he is hoping the second week of December).

We have lots of new Members - WELCOME!  I just had my Roux-N-Y surgery on Tuesday, November 16th, and have only wonderful things to report!  Thank you to EVERYONE who had me in their thoughts - I am doing well.

For those facing the Holidays with Fear - come on!  You have come so far from were you started, don't let your emotions take control of your mouth.  I want to touch on the Holidays further, but if you are having any difficulties, this is the place to bring up your concerns.

Happy Holidays to ALL!

Welcome to the Group, Kathy!

I hope you can make it down to Puyallup on Saturday -- otherwise our next meeting will be in Kent Valley.

You want support, you got it!  I am pre-sugical, and just the 30 or so pounds I have lost is making a big difference to my feet & knees.  Have you been to UW's Physical Therapy???  They are GREAT folks.

Welcome Christina!

You will have a group full of cheerleaders, not professionals, as support is our focus!  Not to say belonging to support groups sponsored by hospitals isn't helpful, most can understand the search/need for a peer based group.

Within our group you will find members at different stages of their journey.  Some are still working through the process while others who have gotten most the way there, we all have one thing in common: need of a positive perspective.

Hoping you many years of good health and happiness, WELCOME!

Topic: Let me introduce myself
Okay, where to start.  I just joined this group.  Joined it because i have been looking for a good support group and did not want to join one of the others i found, like at nearby hospitals because to me they seem too clinical and i would not get as much out of them as i would just meeting face to face with friends who understand the ups and downs of wls.  So i am very much looking forward to meeting everyone.

I had VSG surgery June 2, 2009, so its been just over a year for me.  I am about 120 lbs lighter but still have a small bit to go before considering plastics.  I am in a stall at current weight.  :(  I am married, no kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats, work full time, live in N. Seattle.

I cant think what else to share right now so thats it.  :)
