Would like to have a chat time. Any suggestiion?
The two week diet is rough, i wont lie to ya. But they arent lieing when they say the hunger is gone when you wake up after surgery. I had the rny bypass done yesterday morning. It was a little rough yesterday but nothing like some people describe it. It's like having real bad gas all over. They put you on a pain pump with a type of morphine in it (dilauded) and it works really well. Dont get much sleep but its not too bad. Feeling much better today. More sore than anything but sipping water and some protein shake. Doing walking laps in the halls and even that isnt too bad. All in all i have been really impressed with how easy this has been (knock on wood). Are you with dr. glass?
Yep, I started mine a day before thanksgiving. My husband just took my daughter and had dinner with his mom. They stayed for a few days so there wouldnt be food smells in the house. The diet sucks...alot...but they are right that when you wake up, thats all gone. They give you a measuring cup like what you get with could meds, and you drink one of those full of protien drink and 4 full of water an hour while your in the hospital and even that can be a struggle. Lucky for us, dr. glass doesnt do drains either. You will be on the floor with dr. blaneys patients too. They all have jp drains, stay for like 3 nights and were all having problems doing there walks so i was glad to have dr. glass. I will all be over before you know it. I think im having an odd time coming to terms witht the fact that i actually had the surgery. It doest really feel real yet. lol Just kinda feels like i got kicked in the abdomen a few times lol. But each day is better and better. Good luck and try not to stress (easier said than done:))
