Topic: Support Group Meeting - Sat February 7th
I'm sorry, but due to issues with my Mom I need to cancel this month's support group meeting.
She is not doing well and I want/need to spend as much time with her as possible.
I hope you all understand.
I have TONS of samples to hand out to all of you, the packages just seem to be coming every day. So hopefully March 7th we'll all be together again!
Thanks so much for all your good thoughts and prayers right now, we need them!

Hi I'm 38 years old. I weigh 226 pounds and am 5'3". I am currently waiting to finish my pre-op lab work and my psych evaluation.
I will be having RNY. I have a history of diabetes, sleep apnea, and numerous aches/pains. I really hope that this surgery will help alleviate all of those.
I am married (just had 10 year anniversary last month). I have a 3 year old little boy who is amazing.
I work for myself right now but hope to go back to teaching when my little one goes to kindergarten.
I am really nervous about the surgery but even more excited. I have been tired and achey and out of breath for way too long.
My favorite post surgery food - don't know yet
My least favorite post-surgery food - again...pending experience
My favorite drink - decaf passionfruit iced tea
My favorite form of exercise - cardio kenpo
My favorite movie - My Fair Lady or Sound of Music (sucker for old musicals)
My favorite color - Purple (even have an eggplant leather sofa!)
My favorite pastime - Hanging out with my husband and son
My least favorite pastime - laundry
I hope that I can find a supportive group here.
Cheers!

Hi there! I'm Sheila and I am very excited to get to know all of you better.
I had RNY surgery on 04-02-07
Highest weight ever - 283 pounds
I've lost 136 pounds and kept it off for a year now
I weigh 147 and my surgeon doesn't want me to weigh less than 150 so for the first time in my life I find myself trying to gain weight.
Never in a million years would I have ever of thought that I would be trying to gain weight. I was born weighing 6 lbs and ever since then I have been over weight and on a diet.
I work full time doing investigations on aircraft issues for Boeing in Denver, Colorado.
I have to disagree with Lena, because I think that I am the one who is happily & lovingly married to the best man, husband, father and friend in the whole wide world and can't imagine my life without him.
Seriously, it is so wonderful to hear that there are others who are happily married out there.
We have one son Kevin (31), and 2 beautiful daughters Kim (29) & Egan (27) and five beautiful granddaughter's: Raelee (6), Hailey (6), Nevaeh (5), Kylie (4) & one handsome grandson Micah (3)
My favorite post surgery food - Low fat chicken parmesan
My least favorite post-surgery food - pasta, I love it, but unfortunately it doesn't love me....
My favorite drink - Hot & Ice tea
My favorite form of exercise - swimming
My favorite movie - Somewhere In Time and I too like It's A Wonderful Life
My favorite color - Blue & Purple
My favorite pastime - Traveling & unlike most of you, I love shopping
My least favorite pastime - Watching TV, I will if there isn't anything else to do, but it doesn't rank high on my list

Just wanted to send good thoughts out to LittleMichele. She's having surgery at 2:00 today.
A lumpectomy is being done on breast lumps that were found.
Please help me and send lots of good wishes and healing thoughts her way!
I'll post more news later after her daughter lets me know how everything went.

Topic: RE: Weekend plans?
Just getting to the topic today (monday night). I had a decent weedend. I was supposed to work on Saturday night, but got cancelled...bummer, that means no $$.
I went to my nephews birthday party at Major Magics (a version of chuckie cheese). Had a good time playing all the different games with him. I even one the "jackpot" on a game that gives you prize tickets... I was able to give him over 1000 tickets to turn in for prizes!! He thought that was really cool. I can't believe he is 7 already.. time really does fly!!!
