Hi,
I am almost 6 mos post RNY surgery and planning for my first half-marathon in July. Training is going well. I have been run/walking since before Christmas. (I used a method similar to the couch to 5K plan.) I am able to get in an hour run on the weekends as well as run two times during the week.
My weight loss has stalled some and I don't know if what I need to do nutritionally. I did up my protein to a minimum of 90 grams. The other glitch is that I have Type 1 Diabetes, which makes things a bit mroe complicated and causes slow weight loss.
How do I find how many calories I should be taking in? How much protein? Etc.
Thanks,

Hi,
Carolyn can chime in here, but she just subscribed to Bariathletes.com, a personalized nutrition program for athletes who have had bariatric surgery.
The program sounds super, especially if you're serious about your sport. I guess it's a one-on-one with a nutritionist online.
I'm going to see where I get to on my running before checking it out. I'm training for my first 5K right now, and am losing slow but steady. I also don't have the complication of diabetes to contend with.
Good luck.
Cheryl
