Just checking in, wanted to see how everyone is doing?

I'm averaging about 4-600 calories and about 50g of protein...still trying...I've lost about 14 pounds since my surgery date. Most of the pain is gone but I still have some periodic nausea. Having trouble eating my food slowly (which is probably contributing to the nausea).

I am feeling pretty good. Still get a little sore/tired tummy when I over due it. UGH! SO bored. Need to go back to work!

How did it go working?

Way to go! 14 lbs! You are officially a Loser!

Ready to bring on the beautiful!

*includes 23 lbs lost prior to surgery, but not the water weight in hospital.

Haven't gone back yet. Going back next week. Not looking forward to it...although I am getting cabin fever!

I'm feeling pretty good, still struggling to get my protein in. Every other day I try the shake again thinking they aren't that bad...I get halfway through and start gagging.

As for liquids...any of you have any problem when drinking? Anytime I take a sip my stomach hurts for about 3 min. afterwards. It feels like too much pressure, very uncomfortable and weird.

Anyways...have a great weekend all and take care

so far, the only time the liquid hurts is when I take too big of a sip...which I admit happens several times a day...good reminder to slow down for me.

Yeah, I think this drinking protein thing is going to be an acquired taste...maybe we need to start thinking of it like fine wine or champagne???

Yeah...well at least when I drink wine or champagne I get a decent buzz out of it

I am 9 days post op and every time I take a sip of water no matter how small I burp really big and my insides hurt. I can nibble on food without this problem. Bu****er or crystal light and my pouch goes crazy. Wonder what this is from?

I totally cant do the protein thing right now. I know its important, but every time I try a protein shake or put it in pudding I gag gag gag  UGH!  Hopefully something will give soon... I know my body needs it.... I just cant bring myself to force it.

Funny, I'm having a harder time with the food. I know I am developing an aversion to it and I just keep thinking just wait until you can eat real food. But I know I still need to be eating something...I'm pretty much sticking to my protein drink and getting as much water after that, that I can. I'm afraid I'm dehydrated a least a little...still peeing but not as frequently and my lips are horrible! Not sure what other signs there are...gonna go look it up now.

So, what are you getting in/ down?
