Protein
So, someone suggested I go to GNC and get Isopure in the bottles. I went yesterday and this may save me! Each 20 oz bottle has 40g of protein, zero carbs, only 160 calories. It doesn't taste bad or good to me and is certainly tolerable. This might just help me make it through this liquid stage and onward. It is pretty expensive. $4.69 per bottle, was on sale for $3.29 per bottle and I bought 12 (a case) so I got another 20% off, making them about $2.65 per bottle. Just thought I would share...
I bought some yesterday but haven't had the stomach to try it yet... just the fear of a protein aftertaste makes my stomach queasy. I'm gonna have to suck it up and try it though, it cost me $11.00 for 6 8oz. bottles. Upon refrigeration the consistency seems to be syrupy...have you found that to be true? Ugh...
I am deff gonna have to make a trip to GNC tomorrow, I just can't stomach the protein powder anymore. I started out with strawberry muscle milk has like 30 grams of protein, and at first it tasted good, but after the first week, it left a nasty taste in my mouth that I couldn't get ride of, not even after brushing my teeth, so I started on a protein powder my father in law gave me from Amway, that is a lil better, its unflavored so I put it in milk and add half a pack of sweet n low and its ok, just 18 grams of protein, once again leaves a powder taste in my mouth, not too bad, which is better then the yuck mouth the Muscle milk gave me LOL
I must admit I have the liquid whey with 42grams of protein and mine taste like pure syrup too and extreme thick. I got a bit constipated and stop taking it for a bit. But, will start back my doctor's did not tell me in the hospital that I could have a stool softener to avoid such issues. A bit late, but I will make it work.
