Actually, I never ate Jack Links Beef Jerky until *after* my surgery.

Do something that interests you. A lot of people get bored working out at home -- they need something scheduled at a particular time or something social. Others like to exercise alone so they like things like running, which is very solitary.

Also, pick a goal that your working out gets you towards. I sign up for races and then I have to work out or I will be unprepared and miserable at them.

I'm doing the 1/2. I hadn't planned to do it but it happens we'll be out there that weekend so I said why not, go for it.

Any post-op PRers going to be there?

Dan, your song was so inspiring and you can really feel the mood and emotions of what the writer is trying to get across. Leaves a lot to the imagination and if Helen Keller was listening to this song, she wouldn't miss a thing! Literally.

Me, too!  In fact I trained two clients for a half marathon last year and I insisted they let me program their song list.  They both finished ahead of their goal time. It may all be in our head, but hey...whatever works!

Along the lines of songs, I load my IPOD songs (playlists) by beats per minute (BPM) then use that to set my cadence--170-180 bpm comes natural for me after 20 years of wearing the title MARINE.  If I am doing intervals, I'll set up a string of 170-180 bpm seperated by 30 second, 140-150 bpm pieces.  I have both cadence and music on mine.

When is the Disney marathon? That would be a good draw for those that would have to make any trip a family vacation.
