Okay, I have my HHH buddie for this year.  I am doing the Hotter-n-Hell.  My biking friend just joined the group, so, I know I can get the first 25 down with no problem.  Now, that means I have to make from the bridge of the red river to place that sells rocks on the outskirts of Wichta Falls, and back to my house 1 time.  Oh, boy the wind is against me on the way back.  So that means, when the HHH comes to town, I will have the wind helping me on the last 25 miles.  So the big problems will be the bridge right before the base and the BIG ass hill and it is a whopper where they take your picture, be sure to smile, and look like your having fun.  (cause all you want to do is get off your bike and beat the camera mans ass, for taking your picture at that moment)  but not to worry when you hit the top of that monster will it is DOWN HILL TO THE FINSH line WHOO HOOO. Now, I do not bike in a pack, I am a loner, so if you want to join me, I will meet you at the start line and see you at the spagetti dinner night before.  Dont know what I am gona eat but I am still goin to the damn thing.  Be forewarned, I won for whitest legs, and I will be entering that contest again this year.  Double dare for me this year.  Glad they have improved sunscreen.  I do not want a repeat of the sun burn.  GAME ON!

Dancbjammin, if you want to make an event out of it, just set it up.  I am IN.

Anyone know where I can get the best damn bike seat?  I have considerabley less butt padding.  The seat will cost more that the bike, but I dont care!

If that old lady in the straw hat passes me again on her beach bike cruzer again, I swear I dont know if I can resist pushing her down.  Her seat was so wide and comfy lookin, I was so jealous of that seat.  grrrr. that was right before the brige before base, that just totally broke my concentration, I was pissed the rest of the way.

I think anytime, as long as it is agreeable to everyone. Maybe Friday late afternoon or evening to get out mindset and strategy right for races / training to be accomplished over the weekend.

Hey everyone,

I saw the initial post about setting up a regular chat.
I like that idea and was wondering if there was any interest in doing that.

I was thinking maybe twice a month, 1st & 15th one of them set for 7 pm eastern time and one of them at 7 pm pacific time.

I suggest 2 of them to provide a bigger time opportunity,  In order to open it up to people from all over.  If we just pick one time zone, it's likely to be either too early for one group, or too late for another.
We could do a middle of the day thing on a weekend, but that certainly cuts into workout routines and races.

Comments or suggestions?

Scott

I want to do a 5K this year. I'm thinking of training for the Revlon Run/Walk.

Meanwhile, I'm starting to train for an 8 hour Hike here in Pasadena, Ca.
I've been wanting to do this one for some time and think I can start training for it now that I'm in better shape!

My goals for this year are pretty similar to last year's:

Grizzly Tri in April (sprint, 1000 yd swim under 22 minutes)
RATPOD 130-mile bike ride in late June (Ride Around The Pioneers in One Day)
Missoula Half Marathon in July (2 hours or less)
Danskin Women's Tri in August (sprint half mile open water swim under 20 minutes)
Bitterroot Classic Tri in August (sprint 750 yd swim under 15 minutes)
Possibly Garden City Tri (oly), depends on
Begin training for Rock and Roll Arizona Full Marathon in September

I would like to have PR's in each of these main races.  It is now time to begin getting in the water at least 2 days/week so I can improve my swim time.  That's really the area I need to concentrate on the most, where I can actually make the biggest improvements.

Linn
