I like Post-oppers too. When I saw the name all together in the URL, i thought "oh, so that's why everyone liked that name, they are saying Post-oppers"

But I guess not.

I had actually ben using

Post-oppers (one word)

However Post-op Pee errrrrss is kind of catchy too.

We have a poll out there that closes on Friday and will be final then... But, it's looking like the Yahoo Group will probably get the axe based off the pole so far...

Half marathon in May, maybe another half in the fall.  If I do two halfs in one year, can I say that I ran a marathon in 2010??  Guess not . . .

So Dan, to clarify... are we no longer using the yahoo group for communications? I think it is easier using OH's format. Let me know so I can either stop checking that yahoo one and or just use this one.

my goal is to run at least a 5K (or more) once a month. I am going to run the Disney Princess half marathon in March. Want to be able to run a full marathon by Christmas so I can do the White Rock.

Jan 9/10 I'm "running" the Goofy Challenge in Orlando. It's in quotes because I'm coming off a pretty serious left calf pull from way back in October/November. Have to get my stretching post event down better as well as actually allowing for some recovery. But then things like Goofy aren't really about speed for me anyway.

2010 is looking different than 2009 in that the financing I've had for events is changing to where I'll be attending a fraction of what I did in 2009. But the irony is over the last two years I've done so many, twice or more even, that I know which ones I like the most, can bicycle to them, and really even know the others so well I can run/bike/etc. them myself anytime I want anyway. And most importantly, I really want to volunteer for some events, I've only shamefully done that twice and talk a lot of crap about some events without really giving back.

I've also decided this year I'm going to try to give the word "unsupported" less of a negative connotation at least for myself and my family/friends. I love unsupported distance rides and am hanging out with more and more people who are into those sorts of things. Of course there's a few that thinks I'm insane too, but that's been going on for a few years too right?

Have a happy new year!
