Topic: RE: A thought for the team
I think it's a great idea! I think we need to get a solid year or so of exposure and results as a group, then we can explore that option for sure! Longevity = Credibility, and I think this is something that could deffinately be a GREAT opportunity. Let's keep this idea at the forefront of long-term goals for the team and possibly discuss on our next chat session...

Topic: RE: foam roller
There is nothing more painful than rolling over a foam roller with your IT band while trying to stay relaxed and not clinch your muscles from the pain. I feel ya sister!!!

Love the foam roller when I remeber to use it.
It reall helped out with my calves and hip.
Good luck with that IT band issue. I hope it resolves quickly for you.

Topic: RE: Dates For Your 2010 Events....
I will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in October. It will be my 3rd, but I missed last year because I was weighing 270. This year I hope to do it at under 200 pounds. Good luck to you on your runs.

Topic: RE: Goals, expectations vs. reality
It does not set you up for disappointment if you get after the training to prepare for it. If you train at a level to be in the top 50, then still don't make it, you will know that you gave it your best. You either adjust your training and go after it again, or accept that you did your best and move on to another goal. Always, Always, always have that carrot (or in our case, that protein) dangling in front of you.
Topic: A thought for the team
Dan,
I was just reading about Team K-Man and a thought occurred...
If we are looking to help/motivate others that have had WLS realize endurance goals, maybe the Team's endurance athletes can go and speak to WLS support groups throughout the country. Perhaps even become a part of the pre-briefs that so many doctors make madatory before their patients have surgery. The Team can be administrated from one central point, but be scheduled and deployed to events near a respective athlete's geographic area. Could be at own expense at first and grow from there.
Is this something that you had maybe envisioned?

Topic: RE: Anyone else like buying stuff?
I almost dread walking into the local running stores as much as I do Lowes/Home Depot!!!!! There's just so much great stuff in there and I want it all and need NONE of it, lol. I can't think of any more gear i actually need so when I got some new shoes today it was fairly painless (course I got my training shoe today and my racing flat should be in on Sunday)
