So we have some suggestions, but not a lot of discussion about these possible events.

Is there any interest in trying to go further with this?

i'm a run only person (so far), so the tris aren't my thing.  mardi gras might price some people out, but Disney 1/2 and full seem great!

It would be great if everyone who is interested in a "Team Event" would get me the info I requested to be part of the "Team"... Just sayin.

Scott,

With just a few members at this point, and given the fact that we are all so far spread out throughout the coutry, demographically and financially for a lot of folks, a "Team Event" might be difficult to hammer down. I would say that ANY race a team member races could potentially be a "Team Event" and the hope would be that we could have 1 or 2 or maybe more members race together in it.

If the interest is there, I can look at throwing our own event here in Texas, will get permits, sponsors, etc and make this a "Team Event" and have it be a fundraiser for our group that could be used to fund an annual training camp or something. Just thinking out loud. A Sprint Triathlon, and a 10K or 15K race would be great over a Saturday for the run, and perhaps Sunday for the Triathlon.

THOUGHTS????

Based on response for membership in the team at this point, a "Big Chunk" of our team would be 3 - 4 members. I know of 4 people in our group who are planning on running Rocky Raccoon next year... That's the MAJORITY of the team.

I know I'm a tad late in the game but my comments...

How about the Vegas 1/2 or Full in December. Super easy to get to for most folks and lots of entertainment to boot.

I'm already going with a group of friends and we always have a "more the merrier" attitude.

Seht - have you seen the elevation change on the Kauai Marathon? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it there but sheesh!
