You need to go back to the basics and remember WHY you had surgery and use that for your motivation. Also, I suggest printing a VERY big picture of yourself pre-op, and tape it on your bathroom mirror so you have to see it everyday. YOU have to set the alarm, you have to wake up, and YOU have to decide to hit "Snooze" or get up and make something happen. You can do this, take the higher road and reach your goals!!!

Somedays are pretty hard. When you look outside and know you need to take that run, but it's windy, cold and wet it takes more than just knowing you should do it. Do you have goals you are working towards  or are you working out on a "I know I should do this" basis but don't have any really defined goals worked out. Do you want to get into running, bike riding, swimming, etc. or tennis, volleyball or whatever. What do you want to accomplish? that might help get you motivated.

Rewards!  Hot new outfit, manicure, new DVD, iTunes, cute new run top, a copy of Runners World magazine or an indulgent Cosmo, a bubble bath, or go big and if you work out 25 days this month treat yourself to a massage.

Do something that interests you. A lot of people get bored working out at home -- they need something scheduled at a particular time or something social. Others like to exercise alone so they like things like running, which is very solitary.

Also, pick a goal that your working out gets you towards. I sign up for races and then I have to work out or I will be unprepared and miserable at them.
