Keeping to the Plan while traveling

I'm going out of town on business and I was wondering what other people do to stay on their training plans while they are out of town?

I'm bringing my TRX strap with me and hoping the hotel has a gym, but, to be honest, I don't know how much free time I'll have or how motivated I'll be to do anything.

I have found that most hotels have at least a TM or eliptical, get the morning started off early on those things to get your cardio fix. Do some crunches, situps, pushups, and your strap. I find a change of gym Scenery is nice....

Good question! I'm going to be visiting my in-laws for about 3 weeks and worry about staying on my training plan while there. I plan on doing some outside running (hopefully won't get lost, but I am assured most people speak english there, so if I do get lost I am able to ask for help. This does assume I know where I need to get bak to. (sorry my "see" key is broke and some words maybe spelled funny) Anyways, I guess it would be dependent on how long You were going to be gone. If it's only a day or two, I shouldn't think it would be to awfully hard to just jump bak in when you get home. If it's longer than that I would def. try to do something (treadmill, hotel gym thing). I'm going to just do my running as the weather should be nise (it'll be May/June) and i'll get tons of walking in during the normal touristy thing.

I wasn't there very long and the time chance kind of did me in so I didn't do anything. The nice side-effect is that my hamstrings, which had been bothering me for a week, finally recovered.

I'm planning some other trips though and it's always an issue with me because I find I don't do well when my normal routine gets thrown off.
