I just joined your group!
I had a question for you.  In regards to the push up challange are we supposed to do the test using the standard push-up or can we use the modified version instead?
Without struggle, there is no progress.

The award will go to the person who can complete the "Good form" push up which is the traditional one...Knees off the ground.

Well since you are offering up the prize, you can set the rules.  But I think everyone needs to be doing the same pushups.

Not one set or style for the girls and one set or style for the boys.

If you have to start off with a modified push up that's fine, but the end goal should be 100 good form pushups.

Welcome to the group!
Thanks for taking the challenge.

If you need to do a modified one, go ahead and do them.  Finish the plan.
Then go back and start over with the knees off the ground standard pushup.

They even talk about doing a modified pushup if you can't do any regular pushups at all.
Do the modified until you can do the standard good form pushups, then start the program.

Check out the website, they have lots of suggestions and different modified pushups you can do to help you build and complete the 100 pushup challenge.

Hi Scott,

Thank you for the welcome.  I like your idea... do the challenge using the modified version and then re-do it using the standard pushup. I have already signed up on the website.  I am execited.  I believe that I can do this via the knee version.

Day one is in the bag.  I'm already thinking I should have kept this challenge to myself. Ha!

2 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 3 damn and that was hard too.  I don't plan on quitting, but I sure don't see a muddy buddy entry in my future.  I am looking forward to being able to do 10 real good form pushups though.

Has anyone else started yet?

Day 1 down. Started at the 3 week point based on the programs instructions after the test.  Now who is going to brush my hair today? Cause I cannot lift my arms above my shoulders.  lol  Ice and aleve in my very near future.  Running is much easier.

Good work!

I absolutely thought running was the hardest most unenjoyable form of exercise there was.
I was wrong.  These pushups are much harder than running is.  I agree with you 100%

My arms, chest and wrists were not happy with me.
