Comfort Zone
Miss the meeting this month?
Attend the meeting but not sure how to step outside your comfort zone?
Get started my friends...baby steps are good...pick a goal and move toward it...
How do you start? Start out by making a list of all the things you enjoy doing or have always wanted to do. What are you interested in? What are you fascinated by? What skills would you like to develop? If weight and size had not been an issue in your life, what would your life have looked like? You have talents and abilities you don’t realize you possess. Why? Because you may not have tried them yet!
Begin with small steps. The first step is usually the hardest, but most powerful because it generates confidence and creates the momentum you need to keep moving forward. Take a class to expand your knowledge of an interest you have, learn a new skill by reading books to master the skill, get involved in a club or organized activity to meet other people with similar interests, or utilize the Internet for resources to expand your horizon in a certain area. Consider this time a clean slate to expand yourself in ways you never thought you could do. Your possibilities are multiple and unlimited. Celebrate your success and take another step, and then another…….
Remember, whatever you try, it doesn’t matter whether you succeed or fail. Either way, your capacity will be enlarged due to the experience of trying something new. It will help you to grow and enrich you by the sheer act of experimenting and expanding your life. You will be amazed by the potential that was in you all along. Like a caterpillar becomes a butterfly, this is your time!
