Can anyone eat pasta? I seem to be ok when there are noodles in soup, allthough I dont like the taste of noodles in soup. I know that is kind of weird since soup is usually based on noodles.
My phases say I can eat low carb noodles, but its impossible to find "low carb" noodles since they are made of carbs, right? I know that adding fiber to something reduces the sugar amount. The fiber sticks to the carbs and they are called "net carbs" or something like that.
Im wondering if anyone else gets the "gurgles" or a very loud audible digestion sound when I eat carby food. It feels like gas, but I dont get any burps or other end.....
My mom had RNY 7 yrs ago (which was a different surgery back then. The pouches were a lot bigger and they didnt know the nutritional information they know now) and she eats carbs with no gurgles, but she dosent remember that far back. Im pretty sure she ate mashed potatoes and soup for 6 months then switched to chewy candy like skittles, and red hots. (I know I know..... I wouldnt touch candy and risk dumping for any stupid candy!)
I am 3 months/ 12 weeks post op and curious about things like bread/ pasta. Im not really interested in eating carbs since I am doing so good with my protein. ( Im getting about 60 g a day) but sometimes my turkey lunchmeat wants to be on a piece of carbolite bread.
