I found Dr Mamazza to be quite personable. I was very nervous, though, and kept talking over him. I've been approved for the sleeve and am just waiting on a date.
You've done well then. I started a year ago August. Keep in touch and let me know how your surgery goes.

Finally, after several phone calls to the Civic they've given me dates for the pre-op clinic and to meet my surgeon. It's Dr. Mamazza and I'm not sure I like the few ratings he's had on the one website. Anyone else had any dealings with him? I see him December 2nd.
Hi Roxanne,
I know this is an older post, but, I thought I would try to respond to you any ways :) I just joined the group today.
It sounded like you may have been hit by the 2-3 week stall. There is always a lot of conversations on here about stalls. Apparently, there are some very common times for them (ie) 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 4 months, 6 months, etc. I believe you can search for more information about stalls in the search area at the top, right on the blue bar.
I had my surgery on March 12/13 and have been very lucky not to have any stalls, so, I am not able to speak from personal experience (so far!).
I hope you found some support when you needed it :)

For those of you in post op, how has your experience been? I had my surgery on June 10th and honestly, nothing much has been happening. I'm very frustrated and discouraged and trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've lost between 10-15 pounds and now it seems that I've been stalled for 3-4 weeks now. Any ideas? Anyone going through the same thing?
