Finally, after several phone calls to the Civic they've given me dates for the pre-op clinic and to meet my surgeon.  It's Dr. Mamazza and I'm not sure I like the few ratings he's had on the one website.  Anyone else had any dealings with him?  I see him December 2nd.

Ottawa - Referral - May 2012. Information meeting - July 20.  Nurse practitioner - Jan 9th 2013. Behaviourist and Dietician - Feb 25. Ultrasound - Apr 18. Dietician graduation - May 15th! Scope - Aug 9th. Pre-op clinic Nov 27,Meet Dr. Mamazza Dec 2. Surgery date Mar 7th 2014 with Dr. Mamazza

Hi There, Yes I have him as my surgeon. I liked him the first time I meet him.. He's a no nonsense kind off guy. I have my surgery on Dec 18th Yeah As long as he knows his stuff, that the main thing.

Just over a month. It's gone pretty quick. At the first orientation they said it would be at least 12 month too 18 months. For me it's been 9 month from beginning too surgury date. I also read good and bad reviews about this dr. So we will see. So far so good

I found Dr Mamazza to be quite personable.  I was very nervous, though, and kept talking over him.  I've been approved for the sleeve and am just waiting on a date.

I had Dr Mamazza, he performed RNY on me Friday September 13th, 2013.

Excellent Dr, very kind, thorough, genuine.. 

NOthing but praise for that man.
