I go where the information is, no matter where it is. I have a few friends on the other board, love to see what they are up to, root them on when they need it and get help when it's my turn. I am on a long journey and I need all the help I can get. Now I go to both boards just to keep informed. Have a great evening.
Topic: Anxiety of waiting
I can access this message board from work because its technically a "group" where the Onatrio message board is considered a "forum" and the firewall gets it.
Isn't that ridiculous??
Anyways....
Sometimes I have a hard time reading about anything happening in Ottawa. I am waiting for surgery and the anxiety of waiting just seems to be worse when I start seeing the posts about people in Ottawa getting their dates and appointments....especially people who started after me.
I try to be patient but its hard sometimes
I guess its that crazy feeling of...by the time they get to me, something will happen and it will be closed, shut down or something or else the sign will go up across the door saying, "We're all full!! Go home!"
I know I know...I'm a crazy person.

I feel like there's a wealth of experience, knowledge and support on the Ontario Board and by severing off like this, I'd be missing out on that. I also fear that this group will make it so that I miss the experience, knowledge and support of those from Ottawa. What's a girl to do!?!

I am just starting out in the process and am waiting patiently for my appt at the WMC. I have no regular doctor and am desperately trying to find someone who understands about WLS and would also be supportive.
My referral to the clinic was sent on May 20th and I called a week later and was told that it was a 4 to 8 week wait for an appt. I am being patient but it also nice to see that many people are getting the surgery and that things are moving.

Topic: 2nd appointment on Monday
I have my second appointment on Monday, I am pretty excited. This chick is ready for my big change!! I have had a lot going on lately and could really use some good news.
I have been starting up my Wii fit again, starting at 30minutes a day. I have also been cutting my potions of food down and eating better.
I am crossing my fingers I will walk away with a smile on my face after this appointment instead of crying like last time.
