WHY CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN?
It's important if you've been inactive, if you're pregnant or over the age of 55. If you have a medical condition such as high blood pressure, diabetes or heart disease. Your doctor may have specific guidelines for these conditions. WHAT ACTIVITY SHOULD I DO? Walking is one of the best forms of exercise. Easy, low cost, efficient, done on your time schedule, injury free. Walk inside or outside. Walk on a treadmill or indoor track. Water walking is also an option.
