I really struggled with full liquids (to be honest, I've been struggling all of time). I loved applesauce and sugar free popsicle. I added protein in with my applesauce.
Cream of chicken soup was my go to soup however, I never understood how to add protein powder to hot soup.
I hated my protein shakes after surgery.
I boiled two eggs, chopped them up, 1 tsp of low fat mayo and 1 tsp of sweet relish (this was all I had in my house). Mixed until almost completely smooth. I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was very good. That will probably be my treat once at the most twice a week.
I am having the same issue, the fluids, energy and one stinky area with pain:) my follow up is this morning , I am nervous, why I don't really know. Maybe it's the scale. For some reason everytime I go to the Drs office I am afraid of that scale! I was in so many medications that made me gain weight that I really didn't lose a lot prior to the surgery, maybe 10 pounds. About 2 weeks prior to the surgery , the surgeon took me off of everything my NSAIDs , prednisone about a month ago, so I'm always afraid it's not going to move! I'll let u all know what happens 😰
My gs was done 730 on Monday then I was discharged Wednesday afternoon,
I use unjury, it's only 20 grams per scope , but it's absolutely delicious! It doesn't have a nasty after taste or anything I love it. I take 3 scoops and mix with 16 ounces of skim milk, then I sip on it all day, I just don't have an appetite, that's the big thing, so it's hard to fini**** off, i almost have to force it down
What kind of protein drink do you have? Body Fortress whey isolate has 30 grams per scoop and the skim milk has another 8. So 2 glasses gets you to almost 80 :). Hope this helps.
I can't wait to get to puréed , i am running out of ideas for full liquids, any ideas?
I follow up with my surgeon in a few hour lol, I can't sleep tonight! I wear a sports bra too, when I do, otherwise , the girls are free! We are in the house, and I'm in my room the majority of the time, I would hate to traumatize my kids! That incision don't bother me as bad as the one on the right, that one is annoying, it makes getting comfortable hard!
I had mine last Monday, so far so good, I have pain sometimes on the right, and a little nausea. My biggest problem is trying to get the protein down ! That's a challenge, it seems like a lot to drink in one day.
Hi ! My surgery date was October 13, I had a great deal of pain too! Now I feel pretty good, except for the occasional nausea. I visit my surgeon for my week post op. There is still a little pain on my right side, it gets uncomfortable at times. This surgery, reminded me of how I felt after my C-section, in pain, yet excited! I find out later how much weight I've lost. Walking , I try to do as much as possible, but I take my pain meds first, so that I'm not in soo much pain. I also hold a small pillow on my right as I walk that helps a bit too !
