Congratulations! In two days I'm 3 months post op, and im currently down 57 pounds! It's a great feeling!! And fish has been the only thing easy on my stomach. Chicken was, then out of the blue, it wasn't anymore! Keep up the good work!

On the 6th, I will be 2 month down and I'm very excited about it. I've come to love seafood (fish, tuna etc.). It keeps me satisfied and it seems to be very light on my stomach.

I hope you all had a great holiday season!

Topic: RE: My Fitness Pal app

My surgeon suggested that app. I may give it as try.

the name of the cookbook is simply Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook. I've been having a hard time finding variety of foods. It seems like I'm eating the same things every single day and it's starting to get old.

my pain has definitely improved and I've actually been able to walk for more than 3 minutes for the first time in 4 years. I have dropped 45 pounds and it feels pretty darn good! As for constipation I've been having that problem too, I take stool softeners 3 times a day and once in awhile I need to take a vegetable based laxative.  now that I'm walking over an hour a day that seems to be helping me move and not need the laxative so much.

How's it going, I haven't been on here in a while and it's pre difficult to toggle around to find our group! What's the name of the cookbook? Is it helping? Has your pain improved? Mine have, however that arthritis win didn't go away forever like I thoght it would 😥😠 the worst that I have a problem with is constipation, the np suggested flax powder, I have to pick that up and also getting more than enough water in, I actuall get tired of eating and drinking, which is not good. Overall I am feeling a lot better.

Topic: My Fitness Pal app

MyFitnessPal is a free app which can help you track nutrition. It is how I keep track of my protein intake daily. It has a barcode reader which makes it really easy to get the nutrition  from a label to add to the food eaten for the day.  you can also enter meals to repeat for later, and you can put a recipe in and and it will calculate things for you.

good job on the 27 pounds!

I have pain where my stomach came out as well. Some days definitely worse than others. I still don't wear a bra so its a good thing I am currently unemployed :-)

I ordered it bariatric cookbook online from Amazon. It has some pretty good recipes of high protein foods. So I avoided pureed  food by making soft high protein and very tasty recipes.

My daily diet is:

Yogurt

Egg

Fish

Vanilla custard, made w/ sweetener

Pumpkin pie made w/sweetener

More fish

I get about 70 mg of protein.  I also just drink water...
