October 2014 Sleevers
how is everyone doing?
Things are going pretty good! How are you? I go back to work next week so I'm really working on some good habits.
thank you, yes I am feeling a little better. I think cutting out the high sodium soups and walking more is helping me. it is so confusing how is eating 700 calories I can go a week without losing any weight. The scale is finally started moving again, hooray. I get to start soft foods tomorrow, I can't wait to eat fish :-). How are you doing?
Hello! I have been recovering and not so much online. I'm down 27 lbs since surgery. I'm on a puréed dirt and I puréed everything :) I try to cook really healthy and lean for the family so that I can eat with them at dinner. I'm still having pain on the right side, it's uncomfortable , some days it's ok and other days it comes at me with a vengeance ! I pray everyone else is doing ok, I'm finally getting to the clothes are falling off stage!!!!
good job on the 27 pounds!
I have pain where my stomach came out as well. Some days definitely worse than others. I still don't wear a bra so its a good thing I am currently unemployed :-)
I ordered it bariatric cookbook online from Amazon. It has some pretty good recipes of high protein foods. So I avoided pureed food by making soft high protein and very tasty recipes.
How's it going, I haven't been on here in a while and it's pre difficult to toggle around to find our group! What's the name of the cookbook? Is it helping? Has your pain improved? Mine have, however that arthritis win didn't go away forever like I thoght it would 😥😠 the worst that I have a problem with is constipation, the np suggested flax powder, I have to pick that up and also getting more than enough water in, I actuall get tired of eating and drinking, which is not good. Overall I am feeling a lot better.
the name of the cookbook is simply Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook. I've been having a hard time finding variety of foods. It seems like I'm eating the same things every single day and it's starting to get old.
my pain has definitely improved and I've actually been able to walk for more than 3 minutes for the first time in 4 years. I have dropped 45 pounds and it feels pretty darn good! As for constipation I've been having that problem too, I take stool softeners 3 times a day and once in awhile I need to take a vegetable based laxative. now that I'm walking over an hour a day that seems to be helping me move and not need the laxative so much.
