I had my surgery Wednesday, 10/15/14.

I had my VSG on Wednesday and everything went smoothly.  Better than I could have imagined.  I was up and walking within two hours of being in my room and able to handle the clear liquids easily.  The nursing staff was wonderfully supportive.  I appreciated being able to walk the hall and move around.  I was released on Thursday and went straight to the support group that happened to be meeting.  Home all day today getting in all water and shakes.  I am sore using ice packs on that bigger incision and heat on my back.  Tomorrow I hope to shower and get dressed.  Just putz around the house.  Thanks for listening.

Congrats on the surgery. The one thing I will tell you is that when I took my first shower at home and washed my hair, I was exhausted! Good luck and let us know if we can help.

thanks.  Still managing liquids and shakes.  Moving around.  Will drive carpool tomorrow.  Any advice on constipation?

No constipation for me. I had awful gas for a few days, and then finally I had a movement. Once I did, it was watering.  I know other sleevers use Miralex to help them.  Maybe call you surgeons office about using it.
