Congrats! I was sleeved on Monday, the day before you, and I am also at the point where I don't know if I'm full or not yet. I just eat according to my surgeons plan and sip, sip, sip.

We're finally on the losers bench! Yay!

Well, I guess my question is - if it's not all about me (or you) than who in the heck is it supposed to be about?

My sister-in-law used to say that to me "it's all about you." My answer was "Hell yes. If I don't look out for me, who do you think will?" She stopped saying that and started taking more time for herself.

Your friend is jealous and you don't need that kind of negative energy in your life right now.

You need to take what I like to call a "Too much love" break. When I've been around extended family or been hanging out with a certain person too long and they start to get on my nerves, I say to myself "There's too much love going on here. Time for a little break."

Just be *unavailable* for a few weeks. When you see her again, tell her how sorry you are, but life got a little out of control.

It is all about you. And that's OK.

Sleeved on Tues. All is good. Was a bit nauseated at first. But now just typical soreness. Home w/my hubby and kiddos. It's a little daunting during the day being here w/the girls, 2 yrs and and 15 mo's, but my mother comes and helps me for a couple of hours.

Hi my Sexy sleevers!!

I was sleeved this past Tuesday & home now. Wasn't bad at all. Staff was great!!  Dr. Nicholson was great!! Only thing I have now is pain on my left side, taking my pain meds & walking helps!!
I did cry alot the day I got home b/c my 21 mth. old wanted me to hold him & I couldn't. But today I had him sit next to me on the sofa.

I have no hunger at all, I'm forcing my protein & h2O down!! I believe I'm doing good with that. I don't even know if I'm full or not, yet.. LOL

Good luck to all my fellow sleevers!!

Topic: RE: Started Pre-Op Diet today...
This is my second day of the liquid diet & it stinks. I am not able to eats meals. Only SF Popsicles, SF jello, Broth, Protein Shakes. The smell of food is the worst for me. I havent cheated which surprises me. The protein pretty much keeps you feeling semi full, so it is more head hunger for me than anything else. I have a new schedule, at dinner time I hop in the bath & relax.

My reasons...

1. To be able to play with my nephew, like run or jump on a trampoline, go to Bouncy Bears.

2. Be heathly like most be off Metformin, Amryl, Victoza, all other meds.

3. Suprise my family down in the states whom I havent seen since August 2009, I am due for a visit.

4. When I fly not use the seatbelt extender.  I hate the stares from other passengers on the plane.

5. Be a better example for the youth I work with.

6. Be comfortable in a bathing suit.

7. Be more confident in myself image.

8. Go back to College and get my AAS in Human Service and be proud of where I have come from and do a paper or presentation on Weight loss Surgery, the ups and downs.

9.  Run, and run in a marthon, or 5 k.

10.  Be a better advocate for plush people, (I don't know how to be Polictly Polite), I mean if I see some one being made fun of for being fat, stick up for them.

I have some more, so this is food for thought if you would say.

Topic: RE: Today Sucked
OHHH I resisted the urge today to have my favorite candy, butterscotch disks,  There was 1.5 bags full, I am like CANDY, NO, CANDY, in the mean time my co-worker is laughing at me because I am like a little kid saying Candy, NO, darn it, Candy.   NO I don't need it. I am about 1.5 weeks away from my gastric sleeve. I am in the big pre-op phase and darn I can't have cheese either.

Soon I will have to quit having coffee completing and this kinda stinks since I work nights, but I am used to it. I do take my Vit. D since I work at night.
