I agree with kimberleyann.

My entire stomach feels swollen still. I lost all of the surgery weight, but I can definitely feel water weight in my stomach. Feels like I'm pregnant again - but I know I'm not (hysterectomy).

Let's give our bodies some time to work through this.

I hope that by week three we will all have worked through more of these issues with not losing right away.

CW: 271lbs

I wanted to say that even though my surgery weight was 284lbs, I was 289lbs when I left the hospital. My first week post op I only lost the water weight from surgery.  Don't get tied up with the numbers the first few weeks, our bodies are dealing with the shock on surgery, and  anesthesia. It will take a while for our bodies to readjust and lose weight properly.

I"m sorry but I don't know what SD, SW and CW mean I think SD means Surgery Date , I am assuming that SW is  Surgery Weight but what is CW?

Thanks for answering

Topic: RE: Twelve Days of Waiting...10/31 surgery date

Hey and welcome.  Congrats on your up coming surgery. My date is the same as yours.  Tons of emotions!  A drain tube is a clear plastic tube and it has a bulb at the end. (Similar to what they use to pump up blood pressure cuff).  I don't know about the hose but when i had my gallbladder out they had cuffs on my legs ( much like blood pressure cuff) that would periodically cycle and compress my legs to help with blood flow.

Best of luck to you!! Keep us posted
