Hi Raquel
I'm dealing with cramping too. My doc/nut are monitoring, but they still let me move to full liquids...OUCH! They think it may be related to the hernia repair, but the pain I experience does not match the docs description, so I'm not totally sold that it's the hernia. He did mention that if it continues, he may need to stretch the area to give me relief, but wants my body to heal a bit more just to make sure it doesn't resolve itself.
I haven't found anything except my thinned cream soups that don't hurt. The next thing that has minimal pain are sf ice pops and italian ice. I eat it between lunch and dinner and at night to combat my lack of intake otherwise.
Protein shakes hurt like heck no matter how small the sip, so I hope you don't experience this. It takes me 16+ hours to finish 11 ounces. Also the sf pudding, holy heck! What did I do to somebody to deserve pain like that?
If I find another food that slides without or with minimal cramping, I'll let you know, but with such limited options, I don't know how much I'll find.

That's awesome!
Keep taking you pain meds for a few days at home. don't be in a hurry to give them up, unless you have to for some reason.
Welcome to the Loser's bench. The rest of us who've just been sleeved will have to ease on over a little slower than the rest, lol.
Sip sip sip, walk walk walk, rest rest rest.

I replied to you on the main forum but I thought of some other things.
I can't tell what phase you're in. Liquid? Mushies?
Try soups thinned with Lactaid. Tey cream of wheat also thinned with Lactaid.
Stay away from dairy for now. It tears my tummy up.

Topic: im sleeved!! 5 days out and feeling good!!
Hi everyone!! Sorry Ive been out of the loop, but I was sleeved on Monday and so far I feel pretty good. Day 1 was a little tough, I dont deal well with anesthesia. Today is day 5 and I slept in my bed last night (I had been sleeping in a recliner) and I slept like a rock! I am getting around great and handling fluids quite well. My only discomfort is gas pains but they are minimal. I miss food, but I know this is the right thing for me. I am happy I am starting my new life!

Topic: Need Advice Please!
HI I just had my surgery on the 11th and although I know it's only been a lil over 2 weeks. Went to see my Doctor and he still wants me on liquids but says for me to try to eat something small only ONCE a day. I tried eating some cottage cheese and it hurt so bad it felt like a ton of bricks in my tummy and I am using a baby spoon and only ate three spoons. I am cramping like as if I have to go diahrreah and it seems everything I am trying from yogurt to SF Jello it is going through me and I end up with Diahrrea and pain in my tummy that reaches my back I am uncomfortable and getting very frustrated please help and send me advice I appreciate it.
GOD BLESS

Did you ever try the tofu? Many years ago, I used to make a tofu yogurt with soft tofu. I remember it being really good.
