OCT 2011 Sexy Sleevers!!
How are you guys doing???
Hi everyone,
I am curious how you all are doing... personally I have been slacking. I am now back on track, but some old behavior came back and I had to have a moment of clarity and come back to reality. I had SURGERY. That is serious bizness. Now I gotta do the work.
Please post an update if you are out there somewhere... or come find me on Myfitnesspal.com, my name is the same as here ACACHMAMA.
Take care Sexy Sleevers,
Jodie

Hey Jodie!
I am having the same problem last few days... can fill old habits sneaking in. I sure wish they could operate on our brains as well. Lol :) So I've been talking to myself and reminding myself of the same thing... I had surgery... thats serious and I don't won't to fail!! So I am back on track.
Take Care

Well, I've been a lurker this past month or so. I have been so sad by my weight that it was just easier to not log on or to only look. Yes, bad habits are definately to blame but I think it was just a stall as well. I gained 7 pounds in one week. Worked hard to lose it the next. Then just hovered at 223 for two more weeks. I stopped weighing daily because it was making me insane!! Well today I hoped on and off about 10 times because my weight is 219...Oh yeah BABY! Thank the heavens above because I don't think I can handle much more stress. Well, I miss you guys and wish people posted here more so I could chat with just you guys. I need to check in regularly and someone to keep on track as they keep me on track. Take care and stay away from salt and carbs...they are the enemy!
I'm def, doing better. But I was a bit down at how slowly the weight seems to be coming off. But I do have to admit that I was back into old habits. The only saving grace is that because of the surgery I can't eat nearly what I could eat before, though I still feel I can eat quite a bit especially if I graze. So I'm trying to break my bad habits, and I am doing better. My coming back on this site is evidence of that.
Here's to staying on track

Hi--I think I have been fairly consistent...I never felt like I starved myself in the beginning, and now I feel like I continue to eat a fair amount b/c I was afraid if I ate too little early on my metabolism would stop. What I do is aim for 800 calories a day, BUT if I work out, I add whatever the elliptical says I've burned off to my 800, so I can eat more. For example, I burned off 500 yesterday after I'd already consumed 300 calories for the day, so I considered myself at -200 going into dinner and of course, there's no way I ate another 1000 calories so late in the day. This system really seems to work for me...I lose about 1.5-2.5 pounds/week without giving it much thought. The biggest challenge, of course is getting in all the protein. And, I'm definitely having a lot of hair loss lately though my hairdresser says she doesn't notice b/c my hair is so thick anyway. I'm not really tracking carbs (yet)...I figured I'd do that as I start to slow down with the weight loss. So good to see people are doing so well and meeting the challenges--continued luck to you all! -Maria
Hi everyone,
I thought I would pop in and say hi, I have been slacking as well but I am still loosing ... there are times where I stay the same weight for a week or so but then I start loosing again I am close to onederland, I am 213 currently, I started my journey at at 274 and my highest at 320 so I have lost 100 lbs from my highest weight and in my discouraging times I have to remember that and I also look at my fat pictures. I have always had problems with my image of myself I NEVER saw myself as heavy as I was it wasn't until I saw my scrubs on another person (that I had given to her) how heavy I was, it is one thing cleaning out your closet and getting rid of your clothes and never seeing them again but seeing them on another person kind of brings it all back home... I have to remember it took years to get as heavy as I was yes I have a wonderful tool with my VSG but I cant be that person who has lost all of their weight in a short period of time. I am still dealing with my head and being an emotional eater so for me it is 1 day at a time. I am down to XL clothing from 3-4X and that is amazing to me... so lets raise our glasses to "TOMORROW" being a new day!
