OCT 2011 Sexy Sleevers!!
So excited! Surgery is done! Ready for my smooshie food!
I was sleeved on October 11th, i admit I woke up from the anesth and was like WTF what did I DO??
But I went home Wednesday and now I am so HAPPY. The pain isn't too bad, I am able to eat my popsicles, jello, water and broth with no problems! Even pills have gotten easier!
I have already planned out my smooshed food for Tuesday! I am a huge shrimp eater so I am going to start with blended shrimp with some ****tail sauce and salt and pepper.. and my sister actually has chickens so I can't wait for my scrambled egg breakfast to kick off! I know one food at a time but MAN have I got some plans for this next month!
I did do a bad thing this morning.. I had a half of a one egg scrambled (about 1 ounce, no milk no butter just Pam) with my popsicle breakfast this morning with no repurcussions but I know that was dumb luck so I am waiting till tuesday to do that again.
I have stocked my shelves with condensed fat free soups for blending with my meal and with plain Greek yogurt since it is so high in protein ( I even have a plan for ground up ground turkey blended with skim milk ricotta with a special low acid tomato sauce. ... now the fact each of these masterpieces will be 2 ounces a piece has not kept my imagination from running wild. I am watching every low fat cooking show to absorb tips PLUS I bought an awesome post surgery cookbook that is so great!
I weighed myself this morning and found that I am down 44 pounds since August 8th which is 44 pounds in 72 days. (12 since surgery last week)
I am so excited for us fellow sleevers WE CAN DO THIS! Sorry for being nutty but I am SO ready for this!

Wow-I"m going to watch your posts as you already have great food ideas--I love Ricotta...and my standard when I did a low carb diet a few years ago and lost 70 lbs on my own (have since regained 1/2 of that) was ground turkey with a variety of colored bell peppers. You've already had fantastic weight loss! I have 12 days to go--I really can't wait. I'm ready for this change and going back to running (which I did a lot when I was younger), hiking and biking. Keep us posted--you are very motivational!
