Topic: Bariatric Fusion

I've heard about Bariatric Fusion and its ability to replace most/all of the different vitamins/supplements we take.  Can someone help me out and explain - what type? What dossage? cost advantage/disadvantage etc ........

Thanks

The Old Me:

I used to see myself as... different from everyone else
Most of all I wanted to be... able to do what everyone else was doing
More than anything I wanted to be able to..... look good doing what everyone else was doing
Everyday I hoped... I would lose weight
If I had one wi**** would have been............ able to stop eating all the time
My favorite plan for my future was.... to fit into a size 14

The New Me:
Now I see myself as...... confident
Most of all I want to be.... happy with the way I look
More than anything I want to be able to.... do whatever I want to and not worry about my size
Today I hope....  to make it through the day- I am sooo tired
Now I wish....... to see my daughter graduate, go to college and have a great life
My favorite dream for my future is..... live a long, happy, healthy and fun filled life with my husband

Topic: What is your self care tool kit?
Learning self care is a huge part of this journey. When we eat we are attempting to give ourselves something. Learning self care techniques can help us, deal with emotions, feel loved and nurtured instead of a temporary food choice. WHat is your self care tool kit?

I'm the odd duck out.....Dr Currie in Harrisburg did my surgery. (April 2007) I'm Jen, and I'm almost 3 years post op. Highest weight was about 310, down to the upper 150's. Lowest weight was 137, but I had bowel adhesions with severe pain, and could not eat.

Topic: RE: After the holiday hysteria. How did you do?
I did ok.  I managed to avoid eating much of the candy over the holidays, the past few months.  Unfortunately, I work in a hospital, where junk food abounds in our break room!  Donuts, cookies, cakes, etc are ever present.  I make sure I bring healthy food/healthy snacks, so I don't fall prey to the "I'll just eat a little piece" of the junk food.

The Holidays are over. Valentines Candy rush is done. How did you fair? Me I did ok, but definately need to get a hold of some things. The lbs can come on so easily. Documenting what I eat, and learning self care activties, and EFT are helping me get back on track. What are you doing to get on track? WHat did you do to help you stay on track?

Topic: Holiday Stress
The Holidays can be emotionally stressful. We have so much to do with so little time and resources. We have an increased sense of obligation. There is more food around than usual, and we are spending time with family and people that may not know about our surgery or its requirements.

What are some ways you are getting through the Holidays? How are you dealing with stress? The food? ect?

Hello I'm Sandra:  I'm a post op (going on three months).  I live in Coatesville and I'm a Brader baby.  I am married and have a 3 year old son.
Love that I did this for myself and am in the boat of... why did I not do this years ago.
Highest weight was 284 earlier this year and now at 223.
