Challenges
Hi all. I am 3 years post op and one of the major challenges I face everyday is the temptation to GRAZE! I cannot eat a huge amount at one time, but I can certainly eat a fair amount if I eat all day long. Grazing is one of the hardest things to combat post op for me. That is why I stick to a meal plan each day, it is easier to be accountable if you already have a plan in place. I also write down everything i eat regardless if it was on the plan or not, it helps me stay in tune with my food.

I'm two days away from my one month anniversary. I just started back to work.
My challenges. So far work has not been that bad but I can foresee one of my challenges getting in my protein snacks. I get busy and can easily forget to go get my drink.
My other challenge is exercise. I have only recently really made an effort to push myself. I joined the Y so that my toddler would have something to do while I worked out. That seems to be working well but everyday I have to CONVINCE myself to go. It would be so much easier to just do other things. I don't me sit on the couch. I mean homework, playing puzzles or trains with my son, cooking dinner, cleaning the house.
AND... I WANT AN OATMEAL COOKIE. :-)

My BIGGEST challenge is "Grazing"... I'll stick to my plan throughout the day... because I only take a certain amount of food with me... I'll occassionally (rarely) go through McD's and get an ice cream cone... 150 calories... it's when I go home that it starts... I've got trigger foods divided out into baggies (serving sizes) ... I'm not gaining... but I'm certainly not losing... and I'm far from goal... I'm still OBESE... I've got about 7lbs to be OVERWEIGHT!!!!
