Every day since after surgery, I've been walking the street in front of the house. An each day I would get a little farther. Well I have about 6 more mail boxes and I will be able to walk to the full length of the street. My goal today is to find out how long the street is and find out how far I have to go to reach 1 mile. I'll eventually build up to a mile a day. An then I'm going to continue. Woohooo!!!

I have lost another 2 more lbs. It's amazing how this all works, I'm still stunned at the fact that I'm losing. No I don't feel hungry, but I do feel healthier. Some times I wonder if this is a joke, or a dream. Or when am I going to put the weight back on. For alot of us we know the truth, we lost it and gain back even more.

An of course our refrigerator is still out, and I will tell you this much I MISS MY SUGAR FREE POPSICLES!!! It's my one form of Heaven a sweet sort of. An that dude better show up tomorrow to fix this thing.

Happy Monday Folks, Today flew by!!

Tomorrow I go back to the YMCA, Last week when I went, I did 4 laps around . Then I rode the bike for about 20 min at my speed.  An I'm telling you I drove home and went to bed.  Not sure what did it, the excercise or me getting up early. But I slept for 2 hours.

So we will see what happens to me tomorrow. I think I will try some weights, Just 20 lbs and see what that does to me.

The bike seems to help my leg. Ever since I got out of surgery I have this pinch nerve issue when I want to lay down. Not a pleasant feeling to say the least.

My incisions looked better today. Just wish the medicine tasted better. Nasty stuff. I decided to call it quits on all band aids, they irritate my skin, and that irritates my incisions, So I quit done with them. NO more.

I'm finding my body does Not like Cambells Chicken Noodle Soup. I have no idea why. But as soon as I eat it, I want to expell it. Takes all I have to keep it down. So I'm not doing that soup for awhile. Maybe Progresso would be better.

Have a great Tuesday!!!

Well my incisions don't look much better, but I'm still taking the drugs. An I'm allergic to all tape Today I got to the point where I used masking tape. Would you believe it doesn't bother the skin? If it works it works.

Took a drive up North. Just to get out of the house, an my collie likes to go on car rides. Today I had some chicken, I was dying for something filling. An it really did work. I didn't have any problems at all. Had some mashed potatoes and a few green beans. An I was very content.

Other than that I watched some movies, took a walk, an I might add did better than the dog did. Now grant you I have no hair all over my body to make me pant. But she wasn't a good walking pal today.

Hope everyone had a good Sunday and I hope the week goes fast for you, but slow for me.

Hi Everyone, Sorry I missed Friday. Went to the doctor, looks like i'm losing a lb a day. I also have an infection in my incisions that he's concerned about. I'm on enough antibiotics to choke a horse, but I can tell the infection isn't making me feel to good. I feel sluggish, and want to sleep. He told me to call if I get a fever ASAP. No fever but I took the bandaid off, which by the way I cant' handle them, they are irratating my skin big time. Anyway, it looks worse than it did on Friday. So I guess I will call him on Monday an see if he wants me to come in, or just keep taking the meds. Problem is I've been taking them for over a week and they are 500 mgs, an it looks worse. I'm using gause and tape and put neosporin on it. An resting. I didn't even walk tonight. Even the dog likes the walking now, surprised she didn't bring me her leash.

Happy Wednesday,
I went to my first doctors appt today. Of course the doctor was late in arriving. But I did get my staples out, and it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. I'm very grateful they are gone!
I've lost a total of 36.4 pounds. He shook my hand, I guess that's good. He told me to finish taking my antibiotics which I will. Told me I can walk any where I want and go to lift weights as long as it's not over 100 lbs. Not that I could lift 100 lbs. The only thing I couldn't do is swim. Which I like swimming, I'm just not in the swimming mood yet.
Told me I had to come back in a month. He also gave me a prescription to give myself shots of vitamin b-12 shots and that way I don't have to pay the $20.00 co pay each month at my pcp. Which I'm really happy about. YEAH!! Saves me some money.
I seen the dietician, and got some tips and papers I can read about. Other than that
I go back to work on June 29th. I get to rest a little while longer.
