10 days since Surgeryposted 6/4/10 2:14 pm I can't believe it's been 10 days since my surgery. Feels like forever!! I hate being limited to my duties. Can't lift that, can't do that. I see so many things I want to do, but I can't yet. An I know I'm not strong enough to do those things. But I sure would like someone to say, Go Ahead Sharon go for it. Listening? Yeah I don't hear anyone telling me that either. It really amazes me how fast the days go by. Seems like I wake up and poof it's 3:00 in the afternoon. By the time I wake up, fix me something for breakfast. This morning I had apple sauce. Lot's of things I like with No sugar. Apple sauce is not one of those things. Maybe it's because I was never a big apple sauce girl, but really it's just a smooshed up apple in a 3.9 oz container. LOL So anyway I take my shower and I have no idea where the day goes. Today, I went back to the doctor, my back hurts, where the clasp of the bra is, sort of freaked me out. Just to be on the safe side, I wanted to make sure it wasn't a clot. So I did something that was against Doctor's rules and I drove to the doctor. I did survive, and I'm not saying it was a wise decision. But I had no one else to take me, and I wanted to know. That's a scary issue. Turns out No blood clot. I'm very grateful. What is it ? Its like muscle spasms, I laid so long on that operating table due to the haital hernia and the gastric that 2 hours on my back of lying still, is not a good thing for anyone's body. An since my body isn't doing any multi tasking and moving this way and that it's stiff. So he told me to keep doing what i'm doing. Just let the body heal on its on. An I said, well my gf seems to think I'm walking to far, and she thinks I should cut my walking down. He said, you know your body better than anyone, when your walking do you feel tired feel you can't make it, then turn around and head home. But if you were comfortable with your walk then you were fine. So I held my head up a little higher and I said, Cool! They are trying to get my blood levels back up, I'm a blood thinner person, i have a history of DVTS =Deep Vein Thrombosis. I have taken coumadin for 22 years. An as soon as I can get more weight off, he's said I don't have to take them any more. AMEN!! They weighed me again today, lost 2 more lbs in 2 days, cause I was just there. So Since My pre-op and post op I have lost 32 lbs so far. The new foods I've tried so far is, ice cream made me gassy, vegetarian vegetable, doesn't bother me. Cream of wheat doesn't bother me either. Cream of mushroom, belched alot, also the same with Hot chocolate. But with my metabolism off due to the temperatures, I love hot chocolate keeps me warm. Before I hated the heat, now I love the heat. It's soo cold in this house with the air on, I'm usually turning it up and mom is turning it down. So I just go outside an watch the birds or read a book in the heat. An get this I don't sweat. WEIRD WEIRD Ok well everyone I'm off to lala land. I did not take a nap today, it was hard not to do that, but I want to sleep good Now you guys know you can always leave comments. Take care! 0 Responses to "10 days since Surgery"Be the first to comment!Sign in to comment! Login Now. << Blog Home |
